1. Who we are
Mama of the North Studio is an Instagram automation project operated by Mama of the North, based in Norway. For privacy inquiries or rights requests, contact Mamaofthenorth@icloud.com. The service is currently being tested with our own Instagram professional account; it is not generally available to external customers.
2. Information we process
During Instagram integration testing, we may process the connected professional account’s Instagram identifier, username, the permissions it grants, authorization information and access tokens. Access tokens are stored in encrypted form in our Cloudflare infrastructure.
As we test webhook functionality, Meta may deliver event data such as an Instagram media or comment identifier, comment text, the commenter’s Instagram identifier or username, and timestamps. If messaging features are activated in later phases, we may process messages and delivery information required to respond to user-initiated interactions. These functions are not currently offered as a public service.
When you visit this website, the hosting provider may process technical information such as IP address, request time, device/browser information and security-related request information as part of delivering and protecting the site.
3. How we use information
- Authenticate and connect the Instagram professional account.
- Test and operate permitted Instagram API functionality, including authorized comment event handling.
- Protect accounts, diagnose problems and prevent misuse.
- Respond to privacy inquiries and deletion requests.
We do not sell Instagram platform data or use it to build unrelated advertising profiles.
4. Legal grounds
Where applicable under the GDPR, processing may rely on consent or authorization for account connections, legitimate interests in providing and securing the service, or compliance with legal obligations. The applicable basis depends on the data and the specific activity. You may withdraw consent where consent is the basis.
5. Providers and transfers
Our integration relies on Meta/Instagram and Cloudflare for API access, hosting, key-value storage and network security. These companies may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Cloudflare infrastructure may involve processing across countries; where required, appropriate transfer safeguards should apply.
6. Storage, safeguards and retention
We use access controls, encrypted storage of connected-account tokens, and verification of incoming webhook requests. We aim to retain personal data only as long as necessary for the integration, testing, security, or legal requirements. Disconnecting an account or requesting deletion triggers a review and removal of data under our control unless retention is legally required. Technical logs may be retained by infrastructure providers according to their applicable settings and policies.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). 8. Children
This service is intended for professional account administration, not for use by children as account operators.
9. Updates
We may revise this policy as features change. We will update the effective date when material changes are published.
